We believe in user control and data minimization. This page outlines how to delete your data and submit requests, complying with Google Play Data Safety and App Store requirements.
WeatherVibe does not require you to register an account or sign in to use the service. All your app preferences (favorite locations, notifications toggles, unit overrides) are saved strictly **locally on your device** (using browser localStorage).
To completely wipe your local data: Simply clear the cache of the application/browser or uninstall the app from your device. This deletes all settings instantly and permanently.
The Alpha section is an optional area reached from Settings, off unless you turn it on. If you have turned it on and filed a weather report or answered somebody else’s, those reports are stored on our servers rather than only on your device. What they contain is set out in section 2 of our Privacy Policy.
To have them deleted: use the request form below. If you created an Alpha account, give the email address on it and we can find your reports from that. If you filed reports without an account, tell us the approximate times and places instead, so that we can identify them — reports filed without an account carry no email address to look them up by.
Clearing your app or browser storage removes the identifier that links your reports to each other, which stops any future report being connected to your past ones. It does not delete reports already sent, so use the form for that.
Fill out the form below to request deletion of records connected to your email address, including any Alpha account and the weather reports filed under it. We respond within 72 hours.
